The Experimental Aircraft Association's Young Eagles Program was announced May 13, l992. the mission to provide a meaningful flight experience - free of charge - for 1 million young people ages 8 through 17 by the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers' first powered flight (December 17, 2003).  EAA President Tom Poberezny and Academy Award winning actor and Honorary Young Eagle Chairman, pilot Cliff Robertson flew the first Young Eagles on July 31, 1992.  On Thursday, November 13, 2003, the Young Eagle program registered the one millionth Young Eagle and the December 17, 2003 goal was met.   EAA recognizes the value to aviation of this program and will continue to support it for the foreseeable future.

Some recent Young Eagles after their first flights.  We have done Young Eagles Rallys at Double Eagle II (KAEG), Moriarty Municipal Airport (K0E0), and Belen Alexander (KE80).  Non-chapter affiliated EAA National member pilots my also join the fun!
